Arrival Information
If you are staged on the NORTH side of Main Street, please arrive via the WESTbound lanes of Main St..
If you are staged on the SOUTH side of Main Street, please arrive via the EASTbound lanes of Main St.
Stage or back truck as close to the curbs and limit parking angle to a minimum. Trucks staged in the Westbound lane should be facing WEST, trucks staged in the Eastbound lane should be facing EAST. PLEASE stage vehicles with room for a center LANE open on Main St. for emergency vehicles to pass freely in the case of an emergency.
Construction
Please note that 1st Street NW is closed from 4th Ave NW to 6th Ave NW due to Construction.
Trucks can enter Main via 3rd Ave. NW for staging on the South EASTbound lane of Main St.

8:45 AM - Blocks 1, 2 & 3 Begin staging

Trucks staged on the southside of Main St. may arrive via 3rd Ave NW on to Main St and proceed EASTbound.
9:30 AM - Avenues 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Begin staging

Trucks 10; 17-19; 34-36; 47-48

Trucks 10, 35, 47-48 || Please stage across the avenue preventing access to Main St.
9:30 AM - East & West End of Main Street Finish staging

Trucks 1 (WEST END) & 53 (EAST END)
10:00 AM - Touch A Truck Opens to the Public (Start of Quiet Hour - No Horns Allowed)
10:30 AM - End of Quiet Hour (Horns allowed)
2:00 PM - Touch a Truck Closes to the Public and Trucks Begin to Disperse
2:30 PM - Trucks Completely Vacate Main Street
3:00 PM - Main Street Reopens

Attached you will find a poster for our event! Please feel free to share it. If you would like a physical copy to hang up at your business, please email colin@mandanprogress.org.
If you have photos on what you are bringing to the event, please send them to colin@mandanprogress.org. We will use these in posts for the MPO to promote Touch a Truck.
TOUCH A TRUCK - Safety recommendations for operators
Operator on Site
A vehicle/equipment operator must be on site near your designated area during the entirety of the event
In Case of Emergency
In the event of an emergency the operator must stay near their equipment. Do not move your equipment until directed to by emergency personnel or event staff.
Wheel Chocks
If you are able to have wheel chocks on site we highly recommend using them for the entirety of the event.
Strict Supervision
Especially with younger children, maintain close supervision while entering and exiting vehicles and equipment. Climbing permitted only while under operator supervision.
Cancelation/Delay Due to Weather
In the rare case of an event cancellation/delay due to weather a decision will be made at 6:30 AM and communicated via Email and Social Media.
Exiting the Event
When the event has concluded please wait to leave the event until all attendees have left the event area. Exit in an orderly fashion after being directed to do so by event staff.
