Buggies-N-Blues is a premier annual celebration held each June in the heart of Mandan’s vibrant downtown. The event’s history dates back to 1993, when a committee of six visionaries decided to pair soulful blues music with the timeless appeal of classic cars to "amp up" the entertainment scene in the community. What began as a local initiative has since evolved into an esteemed tradition that brings hot rods, classic rides, and cool tunes to the streets of Mandan every year.

This grand tradition is sustained through a unique partnership between the Mandan Progress Organization and a dedicated network of business sponsors. Because Buggies-N-Blues is a free, sponsored event, it remains accessible to everyone, ensuring that the entire community can enjoy a full weekend of high-quality entertainment. This collaborative effort fuels a diverse itinerary that includes a massive Sunday classic car show, a tractor show, a classic car parade, and live music performances from multiple bands.

As a true hub of Mandan’s community spirit, Buggies-N-Blues has become a beloved experience that attracts a wide, engaged audience of car enthusiasts, music fans, and families alike. According to Mandan Police Department estimates, the Sunday classic car show alone brings roughly 35,000 to 40,000 people to Main Street. Whether it’s the sight of vintage vehicles lining the avenues or the energy of the Saturday Night Block Party, the event stands as a cherished highlight that demonstrates Mandan’s hospitality and "Where the West Begins" pride.
